Hats off to me!

A few days after halloween Thomas asked me if he could be a robot for halloween. Explaining the passage of time to a 2 1/2 year old is a little like me trying to wrap my head around the neurological section of my class right now, so instead I said”what do you want to be?” He decided a robot. I decided to kill two birds with one stone (that is actually a terrible saying. I`d be upset if I even hurt one bird with one stone.). I decided to complete two tasks in one (that`s better) and make him a new winter hat AND a robot head. I asked what he wanted, expecting him to tell me what colours, but he launched into a long and confusing conversation about connector-grabbers and prosticators and other made up words I didn`t understand. He was less than enthused with the result (see below where I said “okay! give me a big smile with your new robot hat on!”

this is not what I was expecting mum

Let`s try that again! Big smile!

fine! How`s THIS for a big smile?

okay, one more time. This time with a smile.

I have no caption for this. Just look at that glare.

Point taken Thomas. I will attempt to interpret your ideas about connector-grabbers and prosticators and have another go at it.

In the meantime, I made this cute little hat for my friends baby.

She clearly liked the results more than my own baby did.

How cute is this kid?!?!
